The short version

  • You can use AuditVo without giving us your name, email or phone number.
  • We store the audits you create so they sync and stay safe, plus basic usage and crash data to improve the app.
  • Your photos stay on your phone. They are not uploaded to our servers.
  • If you buy Pro, Google Play handles payment. We never see your card details.
  • No ads. No ad trackers. We never sell your data.
  • Delete everything at any time from Settings → Delete my data.

1. Who we are

AuditVo is made by Brenu Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17437432), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. Brenu Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

This policy applies to everyone who uses AuditVo, wherever they are in the world, on Android now and on iPhone when that version launches.

2. What we collect

AuditVo doesn't ask you to create an account. Here is everything the app collects:

DataWhat it is
Anonymous app IDA random identifier created by Firebase Anonymous Authentication when you first open the app. It isn't linked to your name, email or phone number.
Audit contentProjects, client names, site addresses, issue titles, notes, statuses, priorities, due dates, assignee names, report settings, and the custom fields you add in the Form editor (your form layout and the values you enter).
PhotosPhotos you take or attach to issues and custom fields, cover photos and your company logo. These are stored only on your device and are not uploaded to our servers; our database keeps just a reference to the file on your phone. Cloud photo backup is planned, and we'll update this policy before it becomes available.
SignaturesOnly if you use sign-off or a signature field: the signature you draw, plus the inspector name and company you enter. Signatures are stored with your audit data so they sync.
Support messagesIf you submit a ticket or suggest a feature in the app, or send a message through our website contact form: your message, the topic, and the name and email you give us so we can reply.
PurchasesIf you subscribe to AuditVo Pro: your subscription status, plan, trial and renewal dates, and purchase history, linked to your anonymous app ID. Payment is handled by Google Play (or Apple's App Store on iPhone). We never receive your card or bank details.
Push notification tokenA device token from Firebase Cloud Messaging, created only if you allow notifications. It lets us send app updates and announcements. You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings at any time.
Usage and diagnosticsBasic app usage events, device type, OS version and crash reports, collected through Google Firebase to help us fix bugs and improve the app.

Your audit content may include information about other people, such as a client's name or an assignee. Please only add information you're entitled to share.

3. How we use it and why

  • To run the app: saving, syncing and showing your audits, generating PDF reports. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
  • To manage your subscription: checking whether you have Pro, and restoring purchases on a new phone. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
  • To send notifications: only if you allow them, about updates, new features and important changes. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw in your phone's settings.
  • To support you: replying to tickets and feature suggestions. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • To keep the app reliable: understanding crashes and which features are used. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • To meet legal obligations where required.

We don't use your data for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4. Service providers

We use Google Firebase (Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd) for authentication, database hosting, file storage, analytics and crash reporting. Google processes this data on our behalf under its data processing terms. Google Play (and, once the iPhone app launches, Apple's App Store) also process data when you download the app, under their own privacy policies.

Our website is hosted by Hostinger, which processes standard server logs as described in section 12.

We use RevenueCat, Inc. (United States) to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your anonymous app ID and purchase information from Google Play or the App Store so the app knows whether you have Pro. It doesn't receive your name, email, card details or audit content.

We don't share your data with anyone else, except where required by law.

5. Where your data is stored

Audit data is stored in Google Cloud's europe-west2 (London) region. Data you create offline stays on your device until it can sync.

If you use AuditVo outside the UK, your data will be transferred to and processed in the UK. The UK is recognised by the European Commission as providing adequate protection for personal data. Some analytics, diagnostics and subscription data may be processed by Google and RevenueCat in other countries, including the United States, under safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your audit content until you delete it, or delete all your data from Settings. Support messages are kept for as long as needed to resolve your request, and no longer than 2 years. Purchase records are kept for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. Notification tokens are deleted when you delete your data or when they stop being valid. Analytics and crash data are kept according to Firebase's standard retention settings.

7. What we don't do

  • We don't show ads, use advertising trackers, or collect your device's advertising ID.
  • We don't sell or rent your personal data, and we don't "share" it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
  • We don't require an account, email or phone number to use AuditVo.

8. Deleting your data

In the app, go to Settings → Delete my data. This permanently removes your projects, issues, custom fields, signatures and settings from our servers, deletes your photos from your device, removes your notification token, and disconnects the app from your subscription on that phone. It can't be undone, so export any reports you want to keep first.

Deleting your data doesn't cancel an AuditVo Pro subscription. Cancel it in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions), or use Restore purchases in the app to reconnect it.

Because AuditVo has no accounts, your data is linked to the anonymous ID on your phone. If you uninstall the app or clear its storage, we can't reconnect you to that data. You can still email us to ask for it to be removed from our servers.

9. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and we'll respond within the time required by law (usually one month).

UK and European Economic Area

Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR you also have the right to restrict or object to processing and to data portability. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.

California and other US states

You have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We don't sell or share personal information, and we won't discriminate against you for using your rights.

Other countries

If you're in Canada, Australia, India, Brazil or elsewhere, you have the rights your local privacy law gives you. Contact us and we'll help.

To use any of these rights, send us a message using our contact form and choose "Privacy or data request". As there's no account, we may ask for details that help us find your data, such as the approximate date you installed the app.

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Google Cloud. Database access rules ensure each anonymous ID can only read and write its own data. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

11. Children

AuditVo is a professional tool and isn't intended for children under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we'll delete the data.

12. This website

auditvo.com doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and its fonts are served from our own site rather than a third party. Like any website, our host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. If you use our contact form, we store your message with the name and email you give us, and use them only to reply.

13. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page and the effective date when the policy changes, including before any new feature that handles your data differently (such as cloud photo backup or AI features) is switched on. If a change is significant, we'll also let you know in the app.
